David A. Clayman, Ph.D. is a Clinical and Forensic Psychologist with a wide range of practical experience in dealing with “people problems.” He has developed and managed a large professional practice, a software company, an executive consulting and assessment business, as well as a multi-faceted program addressing concerns in the corrections industry.
Dr. Clayman has nearly 30 years of experience in the forensic psychological evaluation field. He has been known as a friend to the court, offering nonbiased reports for criminal and civil litigation. He has completed an estimated 3,000 evaluations and has also testified in court as an expert witness numerous times. Dr. Clayman is in demand as a speaker who helps organizations retain a value-oriented approach to achieving success. He works with displaced and stressed executives. Dr. Clayman received his B.A. in Psychology from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut and his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Vermont. He joined the faculty at West Virginia University Medical School, Charleston Division, in 1974. In 1981, he founded Process Strategies Institute, a full-service mental health practice, and served as its CEO/Director. In 2001, this practice merged with another group and after three years, in the spring of 2004, he went back into private practice and is now the Director of Clayman & Associates, PLLC.
