Child Evaluations
Commonly requested in cases of child maltreatment or custody cases, Child Evaluations are provided with the most extensive assessment including recommendations to prevent future issues. These evaluations are typically compromised of intellectual, academic, emotional state, personality and behavior assessments as well as extensive interviews with the child. Collateral interviews and record review are also critical components of Child Evaluations.
We determine psychological damages when a child has experienced a life-altering event, been the victim of a crime or experienced medical malpractice. In the event that a child will be testifying in a civil or criminal trial, competency from a psycho-legal standpoint is ascertained. Intellectual capacity and factors such as suggestibility, developmental level, linguistic competency and motivation to be truthful are assessed.
